Looking at this blog, it looks like I need to do a little catching up. So about a year ago my wife and I decided to move the family back to Louisiana. The kids and her moved down in August and I moved down this past December. The move continues to affect my studio work in mostly a positive manner. Drawing from a landscape and culture that I longed, for over the past 13 years. My thoughts in the studio hover around a post-Katrina childhood and a palette that draws from the land and environment but also in context in thinking about the area as the northern most point of the Caribbean. Here are some new studio shots from June. Lot's of exhibitions on the horizon. |
